Mod Podgeis een vloeibaar hobbymateriaal van het merk Plaid met talloze toepassingsmogelijkheden, hieronder leggen we uit wat het precies is en wat je er mee kunt doen. We laten je ook de leukste projecten zien die je zelf kunt maken.

Wat is ModPodge?
Mod Podge is een lijm/lak met bijzondere eigenschappen. Hiermee kun je in wezen drie dingen doen:
- Lijm
- dekslag
- Compleet
Alle soorten hebben deze drie kenmerken. Het kan worden aangebracht met een kwast, eenschuim borstelof gewoon met je vingers. Als je het aanbrengt is het wit maar droogt transparant op.
Verschillende soorten Mod Podge
De klassieke Mod Podge komt in twee varianten:Mod PodgeglansInMod Podge-matte. Je ziet het verschil pas als het droog is. Een glanzende of matte afwerking. Naast deze twee varianten zijn er nog veel producten voor verschillende doeleinden. Een derde klassieke variant is deMod Podge satijn. Deze heeft een zijdeachtige glans die tussen de glanzende en de matte variant in ligt. Een voordeel van satijn is dat je minder snel krassen ziet.
Speciaal voor projecten met textielMod Podge-stof. Stof is onder andere geschikt voor het bevestigen van textiel op textiel. Er is echter veel meer mogelijk met deze variant. U kunt het textiel bijvoorbeeld voorbereiden voor stoffering, textiel op hout bevestigen, voor accessoires, schoenen en meer. Textiel op textiel is machinewasbaar (koud, na 72 uur).

Op een donkere achtergrond krijg je het mooiste resultaat, maar ook op een witte achtergrond ontstaat een bijzonder effect. Er is ookMod Podge puzzelspaarder. Dit is vooral handig om je mooiste legpuzzel op te plakken zodat je hem kunt bewaren. Naast de genoemde soorten zijn er nog vele andere soorten. En er komen nog steeds nieuwe soorten bij. We zullen de nieuwere typen hieronder bespreken.
Nieuwe soorten Mod Podge
Plaid komt steeds met nieuwe soorten die bijzonder geschikt zijn voor ander gebruik zoals papier, outdoor, fototransfer, vaatwasmachinebestendig en nog veel meer. We zetten ze hier voor je op een rij:
- Mod Podge Antiek matgeeft projecten een vintage gevoel. Zorgt voor een matte afwerking die projecten een "verouderde" look geeft. Geschikt voor projecten die een vintage look nodig hebben.
- Mod Podge vaatwasmachinebestendigis geschikt voor reiniging in de vaatwasser. Met deze vaatwasmachinebestendige formule zijn uw projecten nu gemakkelijk schoon te maken en op te bergen in de vaatwasser.
- Mod Podge geeft licht in het donkerzorgt voor een glow-in-the-dark-effect. Verlicht je verjaardag, Halloween en nog veel meer projecten met glow-in-the-dark. Voeg meer lagen toe voor een extra glanseffect.
- Mod Podge Harter MantelGeeft een extra duurzame beschermingslaag waardoor uw project veel langer mooi blijft en kras- en krasbestendig is. Voor projecten die veel te verduren hebben. Extra hard oppervlak geschikt voor veelgebruikte praktische decoupageprojecten, meubels, boekenplanken en keukenaccessoires.
- Mod Podge buitenshuisis geschikt voor projecten die buiten worden geplaatst. regen of zon; Met een buitenlaagje kunnen ze alles aan en blijven ze mooi. Gebruik het bijvoorbeeld op plaatwerk, hout, terracotta, beton en meer.
- Mod Podge Papiermatis ideaal voor decoupage met foto's en mooi papier, kaarten maken, scrapbooking en paper-on-paper projecten.Voorkomt vergeling en is zuurvrij. Ook verkrijgbaar in éénGlanzende versie.
- Mod Podge Fototransfermediumis speciaal ontworpen voor het overbrengen van foto's en teksten op hout, textiel, kurk, karton en nog veel meer. Dit medium werkt alleen met prints van een laserprinter. Knip je afdruk uit en breng een dikke laag fototransfermedium aan (aan de afbeeldingszijde). Plaats uw afdruk met de bedrukte zijde naar beneden op het substraat. Licht aandrukken en 24 uur laten drogen. Bevochtig het papier na 24 uur met een borstel of doek. Wrijven verwijdert het papier en laat de afbeelding achter.
- Mod Podge stijfis een textielzetmeel dat uw projecten in een bepaalde vorm brengt en houdt. Geschikt voor de meeste textielsoorten en garens. Maak snel en eenvoudig stoffen strikken, knutselschalen of voeg kant, lint en versieringen toe aan knutselprojecten.
- Mod Podge meubel satijngeeft uw meest gebruikte projecten een extra duurzaam oppervlak dat beschermt tegen krassen en andere beschadigingen. Ideaal voor meubels, boekenkasten, keukenaccessoires en nog veel meer. Satijnafwerking die projecten een extra duurzame beschermlaag geeft.
- Starterset 5 x 59 ml. In deze handige startersset vind je 5 flesjes Mod Podge waarmee je diverse projecten kunt uitvoeren. De basissoorten mat en glans zijn geschikt voor de meeste projecten en materialen. Daarnaast zijn de outdoor-, glitter- en papiermatten bijzonder geschikt voor buitengebruik, extra glitter of papier.

Ik ben of ben op zoek naar een materiaal dat uitgesmeerd of gewikkeld kan worden in een object zodat ik het kan gebruiken als mal voor de decoupage laag. dwz deze laag mag niet aan de “schimmel” blijven kleven. welk materiaal kan na droging van de mod podge smeerlaag worden verwijderd?

Goedenavond, ik wil graag bierflesetiketten opgerold in zakjes gebruiken als basis (kader) voor een boeket bloemen. Kan ik de labels stabieler maken met modpodge? Moet ik beide kanten behandelen? Kan ik de kegel ermee lijmen? En is het waterdicht als het droog is? Welke soort kan ik het beste gebruiken?

Goededag. Ik wil karton, leer, papier en glas gebruiken om een omslag te maken voor een bijzonder boek. De basis is gemaakt van karton, dan leer, dan glazen elementen en papier erop, die vervolgens worden geverfd en gelijmd. Is Mode Podge hiervoor geschikt of moet ik een ander product gebruiken?

Bedankt voor je vraag. Mod Podge is in principe bijzonder geschikt voor papier en karton. Of het ook werkt met leer en glas durf ik niet te zeggen, maar lijkt me erg lastig. Dat zou je moeten proberen. Veel geluk!

Hallo Sanne,
Ik zou graag een stuk doek met acrylverf (en papier geplakt) op een groter doek met acrylverf als achtergrond willen lijmen en verder uitwerken met acrylverf. Kan ik hiervoor de klassieke mod podge gebruiken om te lijmen? En zo ja... Kan ik het te plakken deel beter verfvrij houden op het nieuwe doek of kan ik de acrylverf die ik wil aanbrengen gewoon eerst op het nieuwe grotere doek plakken? Bij voorbaat dank voor uw reactie.

Hallo,
Mijn zoon heeft waarschijnlijk een te dikke laag lijm gebruikt voor de afwerking. Het droogt nauwelijks en voelt toch erg plakkerig aan. Kunt u adviseren hoe nu te handelen?

Beste Anneke,
Bedankt voor je bericht. Een dikke laag lijm is inderdaad niet de ideale methode. Mod Podge raadt aan om dunne laagjes te gebruiken en tussendoor goed te laten drogen. Afhankelijk van de ondergrond kun je misschien een deel van de lijm met water verwijderen, maar daarvoor is het waarschijnlijk te laat. Misschien kun je het langer laten drogen en hopen dat dat helpt, maar helaas weet ik hier geen goede oplossing voor.
