Rahway, NJ Grand Meridia Apartments for Rent Rent.com (2023)

Having lived here for many years, this is the worst experience I've had living in an apartment complex. I didn't leave early because I was buying a house and just wanted to go through the hassle of moving once (with kids), which in retrospect was a very bad decision because despite assurances from management the situation never improved. That's why I give them a 1 star review, and a zero star review if possible. 1. The building structure is very poor. the walls are paper thin, youCan hear people walking in the hallway and the vibration of the elevator. The hallway carpet on the second floor has pits several inches deep that have not been repaired in years. 2. Management is extremely stingy with maintenance. If your AC units aren't cooling or making a lot of noise, they won't fix or replace them. I had these issues with all 3 of my air conditioners and after many calls they reluctantly replaced only one. 3. The wooden floor in this building is the worst. In my apartment the floor cracked in two different places and the tiles popped out for some reason. Management checked and said it couldn't be fixed and they didn't want to replace the floor in the living room. to find out. 4. There is a water leak problem in one of the walls of the master bedroom in the building. This went on for over a year. Once it got this bad, 1/3 of the carpet was soaked. They promised to replace the carpet. I chased Mister Super for six months and every time he gave me a new date, the carpet was never replaced. 5. A permanent rent increase without any improvements to the building or apartment. 6. The leasing office staff are rude once you move in and have any issues. They will be very nice to you before you move in. But once you live there or talk about moving out, they show zero empathy and make you pay the whole month's rent even if you stay 6-8 days and provide the required notice and uh lease terms. If you work in Manhattan or have to use NJ transportation, Lowe is a great place to live as even the semi-express stops here. If you choose to live in Lowe, I highly recommend avoiding this apartment building. In the past two years, three new buildings have been built, I personally don't know how good or bad it is there, but give it a try.

Due to the terms of the lease, we are not able to prorate the number of days we are not in the apartment,Because we need to be ready for the next tenant. I moved here six years ago and this has become home! Very clean and well maintained building. The staff are great and always available. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place to call home.
